Description
- Product / Process Developer with a min of 10 yrs of exp in bakery product development and manufacturing.
- Focus on product optimization, quality improvements, and implementation of manufacturing standards.
- Responsible for optimization and standardization of bakery products and processes across multiple facilities.
- Lead execution of brand value and quality improvements, optimization work, and ongoing product and process manufacturing support services.
- Develop and manage project plans and timelines ensuring that projects are delivered on time.
- Assess product and manufacturing processes, gather and analyze data, and make recommendations based on findings.
- Lead assigned projects and collaborate with cross functional team members.
- Key stakeholders include R&D product development, business team, quality, sensory and consumer science, marketing, manufacturing, suppliers, co-manufacturers, packaging, and regulatory.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 10 yrs of exp working within Food Manufacturing, and Product and Process Development Technology in the Food Industry.
- Strong Food Science and, Food Processing and Manufacturing knowledge with some basic understanding of Food Chemistry.
- Strong technical and Project Management skills, and effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of an organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization.
- Use of software including Word, Excel and Minitab.
- Ability to influence others and get results while working with a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage complexity of multiple project activities.
- Possess executional excellence, personal leadership, time management and problem-solving competencies.
- Excellent understanding of the food industry including product manufacturing, GMPs, and product quality specifications.
- Position is 1 year contract, part time avg 20 hr/wk, with ~40% travel.
